DONNA GABRIEL
Donna Gabriel earned her Masters of Science in special education, elementary education and art education at Hofstra University. She has taught in New York and Arizona for 25 years working extensively in both resource and self-contained settings with individuals having issues such as ADD, ADHD, autism, specific learning disabilities, speech and language disorders, behavioral disorders, depression and anxiety. She served as chairman of the Intervention Planning Team in the Scottsdale Unified School District for 15 years devising strategies and interventions for struggling students. She believes in looking at children holistically, assessing their social and emotional, as well as academic needs. Her special interests include educating parents about their child's unique strengths and challenges, equipping them with strategies for use at home and teaching parents to advocate for their child in the school setting.
